St. Augustine Center for Living
The St. Augustine Center for Living’s mission is to address all aspects of the personal, social and emotional development of the residents we serve with the assistance of professionals and direct care staff. It is our goal to provide each resident with the opportunity to attain as much personal independence and self-reliance as possible in the least restrictive environment, thus assuring that each resident reaches his/her maximum functioning potential.
Special Olympics
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Ability Tree
The partnership between Ability Tree First Coast and the communities in Northeast Florida is the cornerstone of its future. We are committed to meeting the needs of the special needs community by offering Recreation, Education, Support, and Training. Our organization’s approach to excellence in the family’s development, socialization, and support is its hallmark.
Horse Play Therapy Center
The mission of HorsePlay Therapy Center is to advance development and healing for children with special needs, and for veterans with PTSD and other life-altering injuries, through Hippotherapy (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy on horseback) and equine therapy. No child or veteran is denied treatment based on their ability to pay.
